CHANSONS DE GESTES
AN EXHIBITION BY KARINE BONNEVAL AND CHARLOTTE POULSEN
This project will be presented as a joint exhibition together with ‘I dreamt I ate the bottom of a pot and the taste of crushed brick dried out my mouth’, to be shown in the ‘Invited Artists’ space at the Contemporary Ceramics Centre of La Borne. Karine Bonneval is fascinated by the diversity of artists from all backgrounds who put together their ceramic creations at La Borne, and so she suggested to ceramist Charlotte Poulsen to work together with her in translating these multiple personalities into a joint project. The project consists of recording songs and words made by the ceramists in their workshops, and in doing so linking the identity of gestures with their oral equivalent. A project shared with explanatory ceramic works will be created to broadcast these recordings and to highlight the phonic properties which are an integral part of ceramics.
Exhibition from 15 October to 22 November 2016
Private view Saturday 15 October from 6pm to 9pm. Open every day from 11am to 6pm.
